Jagdgeschwader 52 (JG 52) (52nd Fighter Wing) The Luftwaffe's most successful fighting wing of all time, with a claimed 10,000 victories over enemy aircraft during WORLD WAR II. The unit had the top three fighter aces of all time in Erich Hartmann, Gerhard Barkhorn and Günther Rall. The unit flew exclusively with the various versions of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 throughout the war. Notable commander: Hermann Graf (24 October 1912 – 4 November 1988)
