RADIO CONTROLLED VERSION (R.C.):
The radio controlled mechanism fitted to the RC clock has a built in receiver which is tuned to the National Physical Laboratory which transmits from Anthorn in Cumbria.
The MSF signal is broadcast on a frequency of 60khz and is accurate to one second every 1000 years and is controlled by cesium atomic clocks. Automatically sets itself to British Summer/Wintertime so never needs adjustment (except for battery change)
* Takes one AA size battery (battery included)
* Automatically sets for Summer/Winter time
Note: Due to the clock receiving its signal from Cumbria, England this clock will not operate outside the UK
As with all our clocks, our RAF Sector clock has been assembled in England to the highest standards. The solid wooden case is based on an original RAF sector clock and is stained and lacquered with a rich dark mahogany finish. The face is printed on highest quality FujiFilm Crystal Archive photographic paper and is designed to have an 'aged' appearance. The clock is fitted with a quality quartz movement (takes one AA battery) and spade style hands and has a brass effect bezel and glass. Wall mounted. Ready to hang.
All clock face designs subject to subtle changes.
